What Makes the Caroline Different?

The Caroline is defined by two distinctive design details: a 40mm solid timber top with a reverse chamfer edge and the curved cut-out in each of its four legs.

The reverse chamfer gives the top a lighter appearance from eye level while retaining full 40mm structural thickness. The concave curve on each leg removes visual bulk while keeping the structural footprint intact. Together, they create a refined and balanced silhouette.

Like the Carlton, the Caroline features a 40mm solid timber top with a reverse chamfer edge. This angled cut along the underside allows the top to appear slimmer while retaining its full structural thickness. The chamfer also creates subtle shadow lines that shift with changing light, highlighting the timber’s natural grain.

Curved Leg Cut-Out

Each of the four legs features a concave, curved cut-out, giving the Caroline its unique profile. This detail sets it apart from the Carlton’s tapered or square legs and the Contempo’s square posts. The gentle curve catches light from different angles throughout the day, adding visual interest while keeping the overall design understated.

Extensive Handle Hardware Options

Unlike designs with integrated handles, such as the Amalfi, the Caroline uses external drawer hardware. This allows you to select knobs, pulls, or bar handles that complement other fixtures in your bedroom. Options include finishes such as brushed brass, matte black, polished chrome, antique bronze, and timber knobs.

Our Timber Species

The Caroline bedside table is available in nine solid hardwood species, including seven Australian timbers and two imported options. The curve design in the leg works well with both feature-grain timbers and more even, straight-grain species, allowing the natural character of the wood to remain the focus.
