You can choose between tapered or square legs at no additional cost. The range includes six layouts, from compact 1-drawer bedside tables (600mm high) through to 6-drawer slimboys (1,365mm high).

What Makes the Contempo Unique?
The Contempo is defined by 3 design elements that work together: a 30mm solid timber top with 10mm shadowline, rebated handles, and your choice of tapered or square legs. Together, these details give the piece its clean, architectural character.

30mm Top with 10mm Shadowline
The 30mm solid timber top sits on the frame, separated by a 10mm shadow gap, creating a floating effect where the top appears to hover above the cabinet body. The same shadowline detail appears on Contempo dining tables, Contempo buffets, and Contempo desks, so the visual style carries from room to room.
Sleek Rebated Handles
Each drawer front has a rebated (routed) finger groove with no external knobs or bar pulls. The front face stays completely flush, so the timber surface runs uninterrupted across all drawer fronts. This is the same handle treatment used on the Amalfi, but on the Contempo, it pairs with the four-post frame rather than a wrap-around surround.
Tapered or Square Legs
The Contempo can be built with either tapered legs or square posts, depending on the look you prefer. Square legs give the design a more grounded, architectural feel, while tapered legs create a lighter profile with a subtle mid-century influence. Both options are available at no additional cost.
The Contempo’s minimal aesthetic works particularly well with straight-grain timber species like Victorian Ash, American Oak, and American Walnut, where clean, parallel grain lines complement the architectural geometry of the frame.
